Da Boston Mob Guide on da Radio

On Saturday — well, Sunday, really of Jan. 21-22 — Bev and I were interviewed by a great radio personality Jordan Rich who was funny, wicked smarht and lots of fun. Both Bev and I were overcome with nostalgia walking through the WBZ newsroom at midnight (in just a week, our old stomping ground, the Herald, would be moving its location) and was sort of cool talking into the wee hours. Talk at Northeastern Library on Wednesday, Jan. 25

Your two favorite mob gals will be speaking at Northeastern on Wednesday at noon, educating the young in the life of crime. Or something like that. In the Snell library. Among the books… my idea of heaven.

Catch the Authors — in Walpole and Boston

Bev and Stephanie are going to Wapole! No, not the prison but the Barnes & Noble store in the mall for an afternoon of signing, meeting and greeting on Monday, Jan. 16, Martin Luther King Day. We will be there starting at 2 p.m., so please stop by if you’re in the area. Here’s the address: Walpole Mall, 82 Providence Highway, Walpole, MA 02032, 508-668-1303.

Even more importantly, we will be speaking at the Boston Public Library  at the Central Branch in Copley Square on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m.  I know it’s a odd hour — lunch break, perhaps? Please pass the word on this one as we would like to have a nice crowd there.

Good story in Globe about Flemmi’s son

The twisted saga of Stephen “The Rifleman” Flemmi got a bit more spin today in Shelley Murphy’s story and interview with his son. Murphy, as always, digs into the heart of the matter. It’s a tough tale. See link here.

The Place Was Mobbed

The Boston Mob Guide was successfully launched last night, Dec. 14, with a SRO crowd. More photos to come but the authors are incredibly grateful to the 75 or more people who showed up. Thank you thank you!

Launch on Wednesday
